Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa appointed to npj Science of Learning editorial board

Professor Tokuhama-Espinosa, of Harvard University Extension School and Affiliate Professor at the Latin American Social Science Research Faculty in Quito, Ecuador joins the editorial board of npj Science of Learning as an Associate Editor.

I am pleased to announce that Professor Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa has been appointed as one of the core Associate Editors for our affiliated academic journal npj Science of Learning.

Professor Tokuhama-Espinosa currently teaches a course, The Neuroscience of Learning: An Introduction to Mind, Brain, Health and Education, at the Harvard Extension School, Harvard University. She is an Affiliate Professor of education and neuropsychology at the Universidad de las Américas in Quito, Ecuador, and is also Dean of education.

Tracey works with schools in 25 countries on topics related to: mind, brain, and education; multilingualism; learning in the digital age and paradigm shifts using appropriate technologies; and the general improvement of teacher education practices. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience behind her, and is now primarily focused on educational research. Professor Tokuhama-Espinosa is a member of the OECD Expert Panel on redefining teachers' new pedagogical knowledge based on contributions from neuroscience and technology. She has consulted for several governments, international non-governmental organizations, and served as an international guest scholar, most recently at University College of London in 2013.
